John Real
Described by many critics as a promising director from Hollywood's theatricality, Marzagalli Giovanni, in art John Real, has been able to distinguish him self on the Italian scene with great performances of genre cinema. This Catania's young artist has imposed him self defining precisely a a style and a kind, in order to succeed with a different eye from what Italian cinema has to offer, and trying to get noticed for the difference and the wire Americanness with which he signs his works, starting from the titles. In 2011 he won the Golden Globe as the revelation director with "Native" film he created at the age of 21 and with which he has been reported as the youngest director in Europe. This exhibition at the 68th Venice Film Festival in the "digital expo" of the festival, Native also had the honor of opening the prestigious "Fantasy Horror Award 2011". In 2012 John founded the Real Dreams Entertainment Srl: the company starts immediately producing the thriller movie "Midway between life and death." Before long, Real Dreams also conquered the field of distribution and distributes throughout Italy "Midway between life and death" April 11, 2013. The film received excellent feedback from critics, who highlights the peculiarities of the work that alternates suspense and drama in a paranormal story. Midway between the life and death of twenty-four director John Real has been present among the seven Italian films vying to represent Italy at the Oscars 2014. On August 7, 2014, John Real, was a guest of the Italian Horror Fest along with Dario Argento, Ruggero Deodato and Luigi Cozzi. The director accepted the award special IHF 2014 as director symbol of a genre that has been tradition in the years of Italian film and which is thus taken up by young authors. In the 2015 the director John Real winning the award "I-Art Festival" as best Director. Recently he has directed and produced the movie "The Music Box" and Tv Series "Feel the Dead - Five Days" with Estella Warren and William McNamara. The Tv Series has recently won 5 awards at the monthly independent festival in Aosta, Italy, "Oniros Film Awards" including "Best Director", "Best Tv Series" and "Best Horror Drama".
